You will start the tour from Negombo, a characteristic fishing town, it's mere 8 Km from the International airport. Negombo is a gourmet's paradise with sea food in plenty. Old-world fishing crafts like outrigger canoes and catamarans still bring good catch for the village fishermen. Also Negombo's mix cultural blend enrich its beauty with colourful hindu temples, mosques, catholic churches and buddhist temples.
Culinary art of Sri Lanka reflects the traditions of various cultures. The staple food rice is always accompany with array of spicy curries. Don't forget to taste some Sri Lankan dishes on your way.
Following days you will witness the marvel of the rich cultural heritage of ancient civilization with over 2000 years of recorded history. From Huge man-made lakes (Weva) and irrigation systems built by ancient Kings, enormous Dagobas or Stupa (dorm-shaped structures) and remains of ancient buildings in the ruined cities of Anuradhpura & Polonnaruwa, to the awesome stairway to the Rock Cave Temple of Dambulla and the sensual frescoes of heavenly maidens at the rock of  Sigiriya.
Drive to Eastern part of the Island and discover the famous city of  Trincimalee, is famed for its natural harbour. It is ranked as the world's 5th largest natural harbours. Visit Trinco's most famous landmark Fort Frederick, a century and half British fortifications can be found here. Also see the Swamy rock and Thirukoneshwaram hindu temple inside the fort. Nilaveli beach is very popular amongst sun worshipers. Pigeon Island, which lies 2km of the coast of Nilaveli is ideal for diving, snorkeling and sea bathing.
In the hill country lies the former royal capital of Kandy, home to the Dalada Maligawa or Sacred Temple of Tooth, which houses the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha. With its distinctive architecture, art and music, Kandy is a bastion of traditional culture. 
The approach by rail or road to the spectacular hill country is through narrow passes, deep ravines, gushing streams, tea carpeted hills and terraced paddy fields. Rises from 3000ft to over 8000ft will surround you with cool climate and velvety green freshness all around. The nostalgia of the empire builders is reflected in Nuwara Eliya, the town is decorated with buildings ranging in style from Georgian to Queen Anne.
Visit sacred city of Katharagama, situated in the Southern part of the isle, the shrine dedicated to the God Skanda, the Hindu god locally known as ' Katharagama Devio ', is a National Pilgrim Centre, venerated by Hindus, Buddhist and also visited by other devotees like Muslims and Catholics. The main festival is in July/August when a grand Perahera (procession) is held with up-country and low-country dancers, drummers,  musicians, dignitaries and acrobats in colourful costumes and caparisoned elephants.    
Get close to the nature and encounter the Island's  stunning array of wildlife, visit Yala National Park and there is a chance to see some of Sri Lanka's 91 mammals (16 Endemic)- elephants, leopards, sloth bear, sambhur, spotted deer, hog mouse, barking deer, wild boar, porcupine, civet cat, loris, giant squirrels and monkeys such as the macaque, purple-faced leaf monkey and gray langur. Also many birds and crocodiles.
Drive to deep south coast's small town called Mirissa to enjoy the sun ,sea, sand and surf. Also you can go for whales and dolphin watching in a boat.
Discover the historical port city Galle and its Dutch Fortress. Galle is the most important southern town with an old-world charm, its natural harbour was a famous port in days gone by.
Continue to Colombo, it has been a flourishing seaport for centuries when ancient seafarers traded in pearl, precious stones, elephants, peacocks, cinnamon and other spices. Today Island's commercial capital is a fascinating blend of the East and West, the past and present.

Day 01

Arrive at Colombo International Airport and transfer to Negombo beach resort. Afternoon   do a city tour in Negombo town, fishing village and 16th Cen. Dutch Fort. Overnight stay at Negombo.

Day 02

After breakfast leave for Anuradhapura, which was the 1st capital city of ancient Sri Lanka. Visit the ancient city. Check in to the hotel at Anuradhapura for overnight stay. 

Day 03

After breakfast leave for Mihinthale monastery of 3rd Cen. B.C., the cradle of the Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Visit the ruined monastery. On completion proceed to Trincomalee. Do a city tour and visit Fort Federic, Trinco’s most famous landmark originally built by the Portuguese, Swami Rock, Hindu temple, Trinco Harbour, Hot water springs at Kanniyai etc. Leave for Nilaveli and check in to the hotel for overnight stay 

Day 04

After breakfast day at leisure on the beach. Overnight stay at Nilaveli.

Day 05

After breakfast proceed to Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka in the 11th and 12th Centuries. Do a city tour of the ancient city and overnight stay at Habarana / Sigiriga.

Day 06

After breakfast leave for Sigiriya. A 5th Cen. World Heritage Site. Climb the Sigiriya rock fortress and on completion check in to the hotel at Sigiriya. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay at Sigiriya.

Day 07

After breakfast leave for Dambulla and visit the Golden Rock Cave Temple of Dambulla, a 1st Cen. B.C. World Heritage Site. On completion proceed to Kandy, enroute visit a Herbal and Spice Gardens at Matale. Check in to the hotel in Kandy. In the evening visit to the Temple of the Tooth of the Buddha and also witness a cultural dance show. Return to the hotel for overnight stay at Kandy. 

Day 08

After breakfast do a city tour in Kandy, visiting Kandy market, Bazaar, Arts & Crafts Centre, Gem museum and Lapidary, Upper Lake road and Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya. On completion return to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay at Kandy.

Day 09

After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya, enroute visit a Tea Plantation and a Factory and taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea. Do a city tour in Nuwara Eliya and check in to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

Day 10

After breakfast leave for Katharagama and visit Sacred city. Continue to Tissa /Yala and check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Tissa / Yala.

Day 11

Early in the morning take breakfast parcels and go for a safari in the Yala National Park by a jeep. The most popular national park in Sri Lanka. Established in 1938 with a land area of approx 121000 ha. It is home for almost all the animals and birds that are found in Sri Lanka. On completion leave for Mirissa for beach holiday. 
Mirissa is one of the best places for whale and dolphin watching and surfing in Sri Lanka. Overnight stay at Mirissa. 

Day 12

Early morning leave for whales and dolphins watching in a boat. Afternoon at leisure on the beach

Day 13

After breakfast leave for Galle, Visit the old Portuguese Fort rebuilt by the Dutch and the British. Do a city tour of Galle. Continue to Colombo and check in to the hotel and in the afternoon do a city tour of Colombo. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 14

After breakfast transfer to the Airport for Departure.
